Description - This Italian pasta consists of short tubes cut on the diagonal, the better to scoop sauces inside. It's very versatile, and works well mixed with a sauce, or in a casserole, soup, or pasta salad. The Aproten line of pastas are also wheat/lactose-free and low in salt and potassium, making them suitable for individuals with renal diseases as well.
Preparation Instructions:
1. Boil 4 cups of water (add salt if desired).
2. Stir penne into the boiling water and then simmer for 9-10 minutes.
3. Drain and rinse under running water for approximately 2 minutes to remove excess starch.
4. Add your favorite sauce mix.
Serving Suggestions - Prepare Cambrooke's Alfredo Sauce Mix and pour over the prepared pasta or top with your favorite marinara or spaghetti sauce.
Storage Instructions - Store in a dry place away from heat for up to two years.
