Description - A low protein Italian pasta shaped like little thimbles. This versatile shape can be used as the base of any dish. Bake it, stir it into soups, or create great salads and stir-fry dishes. The Aproten line of pastas are also wheat/lactose-free and low in salt and potassium, making them suitable for individuals with renal diseases as well.
Preparation Instructions:
1. Boil 4 cups of water (add salt if desired).
2. Stir ditalini into the boiling water and then simmer for 7-9 minutes.
3. Drain and rinse under running water for approximately 2 minutes to remove excess starch.
4. Add your favorite sauce mix.
Serving Suggestions - Prepare Cambrooke Foods' Alfredo Sauce Mix and pour over the prepared pasta or top with your favorite marinara or spaghetti sauce.
Storage Instructions - Store in a dry place away from heat for up to two years.
